With the Breathing project, the Antwerp conservatoire supports jazz students both logistically and artistically in their search for their own musical personality. They do this by engaging an established jazz musician for in-depth and extensive coaching.
With Stéphane Galland, they were able to involve a household name from the Belgian and international jazz scene. As drummer and co-founder of Aka Moon, he played numerous concerts at home and abroad with Fabrizio Cassol and Michel Hatzigeorgiou. In addition, as a drummer with Ibrahim Malouf, Doudou N'Diaye Rose, Zap Mama and Joe Zawinul's Syndicate, among others, he proves to be a jack of all trades.
After two weeks of rehearsals under his direction, the young talents in search of their own musical voice will give their best on the Rataplan stage. Many names you will admire here the first time, you will definitely remember later!
