Pasklaar: Autumn concert of the Peter Benoit Fund

Besides preserving Peter Benoit's legacy, the Peter Benoit Fund aims to promote the art of music in general and Flemish music in particular by all means. They are therefore happy to cooperate in providing stage opportunities for young composers.

Pasklaar is a collaboration between the Peter Benoit Fund, Roomservice vzw (this non-profit organisation offers new chamber music a stage), the composition programmes and contemporary performance practice classes of the Flemish conservatoires. We hope that this project will enable the young composers and performers to get to know each other and each other's work better.

We are delighted that Bart Bouckaert and the Brussels Conservatoire are willing to take on the performance of work by future and brand-new alumni of the composition classes. In consultation with Bart and the heads of the composition classes at the various conservatories in Flanders, seven composers were asked to write a new work for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, vibraphone, and piano.
