Studium Generale is an initiative of AP Hogeschool in collaboration with deSingel International Arts Campus and Art House Opera Ballet Flanders. The annual theme for academic year 22-23 is 'experience'.
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, we welcome:
- Speaker: Sofie Braem
- Lecture title: The experience of a patient within the AZ Monica Hospital.
Every patient is unique. From the brand new mom, to someone who is undergoing surgery, needs an examination or has a doctor's appointment. So what makes a patient's hospital stay a pleasant experience? Beyond the medical outcome, the patient's experience plays an important role.
During this lecture, we will take you behind the scenes of the hospital. What factors determine the patient experience? How do we try to put ourselves in the patient's shoes as much as possible in order to help shape our policy? And how do we motivate our staff to offer accessible quality medicine and care to our patients in a respectful and friendly manner?
