Experiment & reflection: Master classes 2019-2020

In the new academic year 2019 - 2020, students can choose from 13 master classes. Artists such as Els Dietvorst, photographers Charlotte Lybeer and Geert Goiris and sculptor Anton Cotteleer work in small groups around a theme during one week. Students can choose for example to work on a photobook, to create a virtual reality experience or to make a shroud.

Masterclasses are interactive, specialized courses that focus on student research. They are experimental and reflective, and stem from current or recently ended research projects at the Academy. The teachers are artistic researchers at the school. There is a substantive, thematic and / or methodological link between the master class and their artistic research project, which is embedded in one of the four research groups. This way, students become acquainted with research (ers) and the research base within the Academy.

Check out the 13 options and don't miss the introduction session on the master classes on September 12!
