Those who wish to study jazz are primarily interested in experiencing the authentic atmosphere, the people, the sound, and the ambition. There are various ways to learn more about our programme.
Play or sing for one of our teachers
Not sure whether your level matches the programme? Make an appointment for a personal playing- or singing session. A teacher will listen to you, give you specific feedback and help you assess whether you are ready for the entrance examination. It is a simple and valuable way to experience how we work. Make an appointment with the teacher of your choice by sending an email to Els Smedts at els.smedts@ap.be.
Visit our concerts
Throughout the academic year, there are countless concerts on the programme, both within the conservatoire and at external venues. You will see students and teachers at work, discover the broad artistic profile of the programme and immediately feel how vibrant the community is.
Ask your questions directly to the head of department
If you want clarity now, you don't have to wait. Els Smedts (els.smedts@ap.be) will be happy to answer your questions about courses, programmes or admission requirements. Contact her in good time so that you can start your entrance examination well prepared.
Come to our Open House on 14 March 2026
During the Open House, you will discover the programme from the inside. You will meet teachers and students, attend information sessions, watch rehearsals and get a taste of the atmosphere on campus. It is the ideal moment to see if this could be the place for you.
