The Night of the Maestro celebrates 25 years of inspiration
For twenty-five editions now, the Night of the Maestro has been paying tribute to those who shape art, music and education in Flanders and far beyond. Together with Bolster vzw, we honour an exceptional personality or organisation that has left an indelible mark on the artistic landscape. During the anniversary edition of the Night of the Maestro, that honour goes to actress, director and teaching artist par excellence Reinhilde Decleir. She will be our 25th Maestro Honoris Causa.
Reinhilde Decleir as a teaching artist
We honour Decleir first and foremost as a teaching artist: she embodied the art of activating creativity and artistry in others like no other. She trained generations of drama students at Studio Herman Teirlinck and gave vulnerable groups a voice through Tutti Fratelli. Her pedagogical strength was always accompanied by great artistic integrity, with which she left a lasting mark on the Flemish theatre and television landscape for decades.
Programme
The festive evening will be presented by Bob Selderslaghs and will feature a programme for and with organisations and people who were close to Decleir's heart, including the social-artistic workshop Tutti Fratelli and director Jan Eelen.
