- Lecture title: Environmental Immersion
Nature experiences have a healing power, contribute to emotional well-being and help against feelings of depression, anxiety & burnout (Berman et al, 2012). Virtual Reality (VR) could be an ideal medium to translate such experiences into an accessible format that is always available. But in reality, nature experiences in VR often disappoint. In the new PWO project "Environmental Immersion," the Immersive Lab investigates what factors influence the quality of immersion of nature experiences in VR. For Studium Generale, researchers from the Immersive Lab will immerse the audience in a virtual experience to test that immersion.
