The Royal Conservatoire Antwerp is looking for an inspiring and driven dean.

You are responsible for developing research in relation to education, organising services in collaboration with the professional field and achieving the objectives for the practice and development of the arts. You give high priority to student and staff participation.

You are responsible for a qualitative and innovative programme that guarantees maximum learning benefits for every student. You guarantee a distinctly student-centred approach and culture. You translate and implement the AP broad framework for quality assurance into a quality assurance system for the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. You are responsible for following up and upholding education regulations.

As dean, you steer the Royal Conservatoire in new developments and initiatives. You keep your knowledge up-to-date and closely follow educational, artistic and social developments. Based on your passion for the arts, you inspire and stimulate internal cohesion and cooperation within your team.
You are aware of what is going on in the professional field and in the art landscape in Flanders and in the world and know your colleagues.

As a manager, you create a close-knit team of employees and realise cooperation within and outside your School of Arts. You focus on connection and well-being, as well as responsibility and result-orientation. You create an environment in which employees feel heard and can share their ideas. You encourage the personal growth of your staff. You create a warm, open and dynamic organisational culture in which learning, space for creativity and appreciation for each other's philosophical, ideological and religious views are self-evident.

As a member of the university college's management team, you contribute to the realisation of the AP broad strategy and strategic goals. Together with - and as chair of - the School of Arts council, you determine the international and local policies of your School of Arts. You build a strong relationship with the professional field. You put the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp on the map as a recognisable and preferred partner for that field of activity. You translate the policy plans into the annual budget in terms of operating costs, investments, projects and personnel and take final responsibility for them.

You encourage cooperation within AP University College and between the two Schools of Arts, the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, in particular. You take the concerns and needs of your School of Arts to heart and represent these interests in the revelant forums within the college and beyond.
