The World of WearableArt Awards Competition is a renowned annual international wearable art event which attracts entries from more than 40 countries around the world each year. Students are encouraged to participate and share their fresh approach with the jury members. More information about the event can be found here.

The 2023 Competition will officially open for entries on 1 October 2022 but students can start thinking now about what they want to create and begin work on a design in response to one of the section themes. A library of resources for the 2023 section themes can be accessed now via our website.


The Patterns of Fashion Award is a yearly prize, awarded by the Costume Society. They describe themselves as a lively, friendly organisation whose aim is to promote the study and preservation of historic and contemporary dress. More information can be found on their website. Interested in participating? Make sure to complete the application form before 9 December 2022.
