ECLIPS investigates how the interaction between human and machine perception is reshaping the way we experience reality. The project uses the history of solar eclipses, from early photography to contemporary AI generated imagery, as a lens through which to explore the growing influence of technology on observation, memory, and meaning making.
Through a series of artistic installations, performances, and immersive experiences, ECLIPS examines how generative AI increasingly participates in the production of images, stories, and realities. The project explores what happens when human and machine systems perceive, interpret, and predict the world together.
Combining artistic research, immersive technologies, real time AI systems, and user studies, ECLIPS develops experimental prototypes that investigate questions of authorship, authenticity, memory, and collective perception. Particular attention is given to how AI transforms archives, influences our understanding of the past, and creates new forms of hybrid reality that blur the boundaries between creator, technology, artwork, and audience.
The project contributes to contemporary debates on generative AI, immersive media, and digital culture while developing new artistic methods for understanding the changing relationship between humans and intelligent technologies.
