Royal Conservatoire Antwerp is one of the few academic institutions in Europe where you can obtain a postgraduate degree in Suzuki violin or viola.
The Suzuki method was developed by Japanese violinist and pedagogue Shinichi Suzuki (1898–1998). He based his method on the way young children learn their mother tongue. The programme aims to teach the knowledge and skills of the Suzuki method for violin.
The programme is designed so that you obtain both a postgraduate diploma and certificates from the European Suzuki Association. The programme is open to an international audience and is taught in English. The lessons are concentrated into ten long weekends.
Please note: the programme is being phased out, which means we are no longer accepting new students for Levels 1, 2 or 3. In the 2026–2027 academic year, we will be welcoming candidates for Levels ESA 4 and ESA 5, and we will still be running ESA 3 for students who need to retake certain modules.
