Tradition dictates that we open the academic year at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp with the Prologue, the introductory speech to which we cordially invite everyone who feels closely connected to the Conservatoire. We therefore look forward to your attendance at this festive occasion.

11:10 ➡ Musical interlude by Klara Vermeer, vocal studies alumna, and Anna Alvizou, piano alumna.
11:15 ➡ Key-note speaker Michael De Cock, artistic director of the KVS in Brussels and author of 'Alleen verbeelding kan ons redden' (Only imagination can save us).
11:35 ➡ Musical interlude by percussion students Mathijs Everts and Victor Reeskens.
11:40 ➡ Welcome by Jens Vermeiren, chairperson of the student council of the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.
