Studium Generale's annual theme for the academic year of 24-25 is 'hidden networks'
On Wednesday, the 23rd of October, we welcome:

- Lecture: The peculiar life of fungi
Mushrooms often conjure up images of autumn, beauty, culinary delights, as well as danger.
What remains under the radar is that fungi are all around us, often hidden and invisible to the naked eye.
Over the past 20 years, DNA research has allowed scientists to reveal some things on these mysterious organisms.
Thanks to this technology, we are beginning to better understand the genetic affiliations, diversity and life strategies of fungi.
This lecture will discuss groundbreaking research findings that offer new insights into the hidden life of mushrooms. Discover how these fascinating life forms function, survive and learn more about their role in our ecosystem.
