During the online Bel Jazz Fest you will be flooded with music by alumni, students and teachers of our Jazz programme.
Friday the 29th and Saturday the 30th of May Bel Jazz Fest, an online jazz festival, will take place. A corona-proof alternative to eleven Belgian jazz festivals. As Jazz Middelheim for example, where every year jazz students take the mainstage with an international artist by their side.
Coaching project Jazz Middelheim
They rehearse beforehand with the internationally renowned jazz musician of their choice. Last year Evergreen 5+ shared the stage with Ambrose Akinmusire (trumpet). FONS. opened the festival with Logan Richardson (saxophone) in 2018 (picture). This collaboration is one of the many stage opportunities you can seize during your jazz education at the Conservatoire.
This weekend we are looking forward to the following amazing artists in the line-up:
- Anneleen Boehme Music, alumna double bass
- An Pierlé Quartet with alumnus drums Casper van de Velde
