The carreer of Alumnus 'Media, writing and performance art' Tijmen Govaerts is booming. You can see him in three movies this fall: 'Girl', 'Kursk' and 'Wij'.
Tijmen Govaerts: "At first I did not want to be an actor, but a radio maker ... At the Conservatoire in Antwerp I did not follow Acting, but the Media, writing and performance art programme. As a Studio Brussel listener I had heard that Sam De Bruyn also had that training I mailed it to him, but I never received a reply (chuckling). Because I have a rather heavy voice, radio making seemed the way for me, but I found it disappointing that as a radio maker you cannot choose the music The programme also focused on theater, and that's how I started to feel more and more for it. "
