Chen-Wei Lee (Wei-Wei) is a Belgium based Taiwanese artist. She is a choreographer, dance performer, Gaga teacher, and the holder of the 24th TECO Award for the art of dance. She began her career as a dancer with Batsheva Dance Company from 2009-2014. As a guest performer at Gothenborgs Operas Danskompani in 2015-16, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch in 2017 and VOETVOLK/Lisbeth Gruwez in 2017-present and Peeping Tom dance theater in 2020-2022. In 2016 she started to collaborate with Zoltán Vakulya, they formed an artistic duo LEE\VAKULYA, and created serval stage works, live performances and dance installation works for musea. They tour internationally and their works have been selected as a finalist of the Taishin Arts Award in 2017 (Together Alone), 2020 (kNOwn FACE), 2022 (Ride the Beat), and Total Theater Award 2017 (Together Alone). Their next creation Burnt [the eternal long now] which is their first international co-production work will be premiered in 26th, 27th Oct. Kunstencentrum nona, Mechelen.
