Studied at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music in Antwerp and at the Maastricht Conservatory of Music, and followed master classes in France, Germany and Austria (Vienna).
Is guest professor at the AP University College Antwerp, Campus Royal Flemish Conservatory of Music and teacher at the! Arts Humanities of Antwerp.
Is active in both the lighter and the serious genre. Conducted symphonic shows with a.o. Clouseau, Axelle Red, Hooverphonic, Toots Thielemans. Worked with Ennio Morricone and Yannis Markopoulos (Who pays the ferryman?) among others. He recorded two CDs of the latter's symphonic works for Naxos in close collaboration with the composer.
Is permanent conductor of the choir Fine Fleur, house choir Night of the Proms.
Conducted orchestras such as Il Novecento, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Flanders, the Symphony Orchestra of the Flemish Opera, the Liège Chamber Orchestra, the Adya Orchestra, the Limburg Orchestra, the Youth & Music Orchestra Antwerp, Ensemble Emanon.
Worked on music theatre productions of a.o. Les Ballets C de la B , Victoria, De Werf, the Flemish Opera and Cineberti (animated film) and led productions at a.o. Soil, Het Muziek LOD, Tabas&co and Zwarte Sneeuw.
Created works by Frank Agsteribbe, Dmitris Andrikopoulos, Erika Budai, Boudewijn Buckinx, Alain Craens, Koen Dejonghe, Patrick de Clerck, Jan De Maeyer, Johan De Smet, Wim Henderickx, Yngwie Janseghers, Peter Thys, Jan Hendrik Van Damme, Dick Van der Harst, Stefan van Puymbroeck, August Verbesselt, Marc Verhaegen.
Has performed in almost all European countries, Canada, the United States, South America and Australia. First prize winner of the International Composition Competition 2000, Prize Jan Vermulst (Nevers, France). Cooperated with radio and TV recordings at home and abroad. Recorded CDs for Naxos, Universal, Phaedra and Mouse, among others.
