Artist Evi Olde Rikkert lives and works between the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy. She currently co-convenes a digital seminar series called Planetary Patchwork (www.planetarypatchwork.net) together with art historian Vera-Simone Schulz and architect Nicole Remus.
Her solo show Meditation on Global Wool Trade and its Supply Chain took place at Villa Romana in Florence (IT) in 2021. She previously worked on the Cultural Encyclopaedia project of cultural institute ANO in Accra (GH). She practiced shepherding during a Transhumance to +2091m in Alta Valtellina (IT). She collaborated with the Phoebus Foundation’s textile collection in Antwerp (BE), and she received a grant from the Mondriaanfonds NL (2020-2021).
She holds an MFA in Site Specific art (InSitu) from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (BE) and a BA in Fashion Design from Polimoda in Florence (IT).
