Hannelore Van Dijck creates images that (often) cover the entirety of a surface; a sheet of paper, a piece of textile, the floor or the walls of a room. Her work is a collection of drawings, intensely shaped graphic interventions, film and artist's books. The driving force behind drawing is a meticulous search for the relationships between detail and overview. Hannelore looks for rhythm and underlying structures. Her drawings are, as it were, constantly in motion. The drawing probes, expands and/or merges with the background and the surrounding context.
In 2009, Hannelore graduated from LUCA School of Arts Ghent. Since then, she has participated in group and duo exhibitions at MAC (Lyon), SMAK (Ghent), Be-Part (Waregem), Kunsthaus NRW (Aachen), Bozar (Brussels), among others. Solo exhibitions at a.o. Galerie Zink (Berlin) and Gallery Sofie Van de Velde (Antwerp).
