Indra Wolfaert obtained her Master in Fine Arts, option Printmaking and the diploma of Teaching Qualification in Visual Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
During her studies, she started teaching children and adults, both in part-time art education and in higher art education. Her duties as a pedagogical coordinator in the DKO got her interested in policy support positions and in 2018 she became head of training for the Educational Master of Fine Arts (EMA) in the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
Apart from being head of the EMA, Indra is also a lecturer of Specific Subject Teaching Children, Thinking Frameworks for Visual Teaching and Organisation and Legislation within the same programme. She is internship supervisor and leader of the teacher training programme where she designs the coaching sessions.
Indra is part of the research team 'Inclusive Arts', which worked on dialogue, knowledge broadening and vision on inclusive arts education.
Besides teaching, giving workshops and lectures, she is active in her studio.
