From an early age, Olsi LEKA won several prizes in national and international competitions (Jeune virtuose (Albania) , Lions competition (Brussels), International cello competition (Cyprus).
At the age of 24, he became principal cellist at the Belgian National Orchestra and at the age of 27, cello professor at the Antwerp Royal Conservatory.
In search of authenticity, in recent years he has concentrated on recording the integral of J.S.Bach’s cello suites as well as the integral of the cello and piano works by L.v. Beethoven on historic instruments. Additionally, Olsi LEKA tours regularly in recital and piano trio formation in Europe and Asia.
