Rashif El Kaoui graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in 2014 with a Master's degree in Word Arts. Rashif is an actor, writer and teacher. In 2016, he won the El Hizjra Literature Prize in the prose category. He publishes in newspapers and magazines (De Standaard, Knack, de Poëziekrant,...) In addition, Rashif is also a creator of pod-casts and director. In 2019, he directed and starred in "The Man Squad BE," the Belgian spin-off of a lecture-performance on gender with socio-artistic slant. He is part of the renewed open ensemble at KVS. He teaches eloquence at the Academy of Mortsel and gives courses in 'pitching' and 'presentation techniques' for Syntra Bedrijfsopleidingen & Itzu.
As an actor, he alternates between 'classic' large hall productions and smaller more socially engaged projects such as 'A Jihad of Love' or 'At the Neighbors', a read-aloud performance for children from underprivileged families, where the actors literally perform in families' homes.
