As the choice of the term 'Genius Loci' ('Spirit of Place') suggests, this doctoral research project by Bruno Van Dijck aims to bestow, via the medium of painting and the pictorial practice, an additional layer of meaning, an aura, a resonance, to a particular landscape, a topographical place.
