In the new academic year 2019 - 2020, students can choose from 13 master classes. Artists such as Els Dietvorst, photographers Charlotte Lybeer and Geert Goiris and sculptor Anton Cotteleer work in small groups around a theme during one week.
The Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy give permission to no fewer than 10 artists to start a PhD. Never before so many doctoral projects got approved at the Schools of Arts.
In this workshop we focus on writing a research plan or proposal. Based on examples and exercises, we zoom in on the important parts of the plan: the what, why and how of your research project.
Artists who want to delve deeper into their artistic practice can respond to the new research call of the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy. The deadline for submitting a proposal is December 2nd.

The biggest screening room of Cinema Zuid was packed when Geert Goiris presented his PhD project 'World Without Us'. Over the period of 5 years, Geert made photographs and films seeking a contemporary expression of the representation of 'the last days', or end times, a world without humans.
