The Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp has earned an international reputation, and has become an international meeting and working place. The lively campus is host to students from over 40 different countries. Foreign students regularly share info and tips through this Facebook community. We also offer our programmes entirely in English: Bachelor and Master in Visual Arts.

Exchange students

All programmes at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts are available to exchange students, except for Fashion. An exchange student must be a student at one of our partner institutes.

Deadlines for your application
1st semester// full Academic year 2022-2023: April 30th in 2022
2nd semester Academic year 2022-2023: October 31st in 2022

Nomination
An informational e-mail needs to be sent from the partner institution to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (dieter.dewilde@ap.be), informing us that you are officially selected as an incoming student.

Application
1.Fill in the following: FORM
2.Please send the following documents to dieter.dewilde@ap.be:

  • your Curriculum Vitae + motivational letter
  • a digital photograph (as a .jpeg)
  • transcript of past records (first semester)
  • portfolio: your digital portfolio can be a collection of your artistic work (pictures of sketch book, documents, drawings, etc.)
    Use http://www.wetransfer.com/ to send your portfolio to dieter.dewilde@ap.be 
  • letter of nomination (you will receive this document from your home institute)

Admission
You will be informed about the Erasmus exchange admission results by email:
by mid-June for the first semester or the full academic year
by mid-December for the second semester

  • Procedure for study programme (required minimum programme + recommended minimum programme.
  • Evaluation and exams (grades, ECTS etc.)
  • Contact (International Office)

The Academy collaborates with more than 45 programmes in and outside of Europe. Study trips, international projects and exchange programmes are a great opportunity to gain some experience abroad.
