Clarinetist Chiara Percivati is an interpreter dedicated to the music of our time. Her work as a performer and artistic researcher focuses on exploring, questioning, and expanding the symbiotic relationship between performer and instrument.
Chiara Percivati performs at international festivals and venues, such as the Ruhrtriennale, Wiener Festwochen Festival, Holland Festival, Teatro alla Scala, working with conductors such as Peter Rundel, George Benjamin, Daniele Gatti, and Susanna Mälkki. Among her main collaborations, the Ensemble Modern, Schallfeld Ensemble, mdi ensemble, and the Ensemble for New Music Tallinn.
A member of the IEMA Ensemble and of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, Chiara holds master’s degrees from the Conservatory of Milano and the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. She researches into the field of clarinet preparation and augmentation as a PhD candidate at the Orpheus Institute and as a researcher at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.
