The bachelor of Dance program at the Royal Conservatoire invites people to create and experiment together in new project 'De Woensdagen'.
During modules of four Wednesdays where creation is the core, dance students and external participants come together for training and creation under the guidance of guest artists and guest teachers. During these sessions, creativity, equality and mutual learning are the guiding principles. They are thematic programs in which there is space and time to create from your own interest, potential, background and style. Movement and dance are at the heart of the sessions and there is also room for the combination with text, musicality and other forms of artistic expression.
At the end of each module, there is an open stage curated by the students bachelor Dance, where the work of the past module can be shared in an open, barrier-free manner.
The modules of De Woensdagen are open to all enthusiastic movers with some experience and interest in exchange and new (dance) encounters.
Researcher Max Greyson wrote an experiential report about 'De Woensdagen'. You can read it here (in Dutch).
