Expertise in physical therapy and prevention

Did you know that, in recent years, the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp has developed an expertise in medical guidance for Dance and Music students?

It should come as no surprise that professional dancing presents challenges to dancers’ bodies. But musicians also have to deal with strain injuries more often than you think. They always occur at inopportune moments and in busy periods such as just before or during exams, concerts or performances. It is therefore very important that our students learn how to deal with the physical strain on their bodies.

Meritou Malokou wins Kosovan Award

Congratulations to our recent graduate Meriton Maloku (on the far right in the picture) for winning the 'Artist of Tomorrow Award 2017' in Pristina/Kosovo.  From the Jury rapport: "The jury is very impressed by his ambitious installation that includes a intelligent balance of different media. We appreciate his ability to respond to current political conditions and also his successful orchestration of the viewing experience by physically allowing people to enter into the work.

Denitsa Todorova wins recognition award

Denitsa Todorova, alumna painting, was awarded one of the four Recognition Awards from the STRABAG ArtAward International. The Award ceremony took place on June 8, 2017 at the STRABAG Artlounge in Vienna.

In 2017 applications were received from 546 artists. The eight jury members – including representatives from each participating country – viewed all eligible entries and after extensive discussion and voting the prizewinner and the four recipients of recognition prizes were chosen.
