Creation

Creatie specializes in and focuses on co-creative strategies within interdisciplinary contemporary art. This includes collaborations beyond artistic practice (specifically in technological fields) as well as transdisciplinary partnerships. In relation to our history as a research group, we identify two key research lines:

Creative Practices for Emerging Technologies

Documenting innovative approaches to navigating technological developments, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the arts, is essential for sharing artistic knowledge. The perspectives of creative artists within technological fields are of great importance. The evolving AI landscape calls for new creative strategies—not only for artistic engagement but also for developing effective and sustainable methodologies for artistic research.

Co-Creation in Transdisciplinary Domains

Both past and ongoing projects within Creatie strongly emphasize the integration of music with various artistic and scientific disciplines. This research line explores transdisciplinary co-creation, generating contemporary perspectives and inclusive applications of transdisciplinary collaborations.

We apply these research lines by initiating interdisciplinary events that bring together researchers and experts, developing cutting-edge research projects in these fields, and disseminating knowledge among KCA students and researchers through specialized workshops and performances.
