We strongly advise students from outside the EU to participate in the first session of the entrance exams because of Visum issues and the time needed to arrange their stay in Belgium.

Administration fee & process of entrance examination
2. The administration fee
To be certain that you can participate, the administration fee (€30) has to be paid within two weeks after registration. The payment needs to be done online within the application tool. The application fee is non-refundable.
To complete your registration for the admission test, you must also complete a questionnaire and submit a motivation video. You will receive the link to the questionnaire when you complete your online registration. You can also upload your motivation video in this questionnaire.
3. Procedure entrance exam
The entrance examination consists of 3 rounds
Round 1
All candidates will do an entrance exam based on a video recording with the requested programme and a motivation video in Dutch or English. In the online form, you can add the links to your recordings. We only accept Vimeo and YouTube links (without password). You can also share videos via google drive. Be sure to test beforehand that all links work properly all viewers.

Round 2
Candidates who pass round 1 will be invited to the live entrance exam. Live entrance exams will take place at the Royal Conservatoire, Desguinlei 25, 2018 Antwerp. All candidates are expected to be available for the full day. A detailed timetable will be emailed one week prior to the live entrance exam. Candidates have to be present 20 minutes before the announced time. A (live) accompaniment band will be provided.
Round 3
Candidates for the bachelor's degree in jazz who pass the live entrance examination will take part in the audition for Ear training and Reading skills. This audition takes place at the Royal Conservatoire, Desguinlei 25, 2018 Antwerp. The ear training test is a group test. The reading test will be done individually. 4. Publication of the results of the entrance exam
Within seven calendar days from the decision, the results of the artistic entrance exam are sent by e-mail to the e-mail address specified by the candidate.
A prospective student may only enrol once per academic year, based on the same entrance exam unless specifically requested by the jury after the first participation.
