Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner |
Johan Pas in conversation with Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven and graphic designer Maxim Preaux about Van Kerckhovens' newly released book Elasticity at Home! Texts & Images 1976-2019 |
January 2022 will see the launch of Elasticity at Home! Texts & images by Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven (AMVK), published by Track Report / Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and designed by master student graphic design Maxim Preaux. The book bundles 96 notes by AMVK on making art and being an artist, written between 1976 and 2019, interspersed with some fifty drawings and collages from the same period.
On the occasion of this publication, the ArchiVolt research group presents an exhibition of Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven's printed matter. Artists' books, magazines, invitations, posters and graphic designs by Van Kerckhoven from the Collection for Research on Artists' Publications (CRAP) offer a surprising and enriching insight into an idiosyncratic visual and conceptual practice.
On Thursday 27 January, artist Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven and designer Maxim Preaux will enter into conversation with art historian Johan Pas.
The book Elasticity at Home! will be available for free at the Academy from 24 to 28 January 2022 (maximum 1 copy per person, while stocks last).
From 31 January onwards the publication will be sold in the Academy library (or via art&research@ap.be) for 15 euro
