The concert

Marimba Universe promises to be an immersive experience that fully expresses the versatility and power of the marimba. Concert marimbas take centre stage, surrounded by waves of enchanting sounds and unforgettable melodies. About the programme

This concert reflects the vision and craftsmanship of the marimba course at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. Twenty years ago, this master programme was founded as a European first under the direction of Dr Ludwig Albert. Since then, the section has grown into a dynamic one in which tradition and innovation go hand in hand. Students are given the opportunity to develop within a broad repertoire and are encouraged to create their own arrangements and compositions.

With Marimba Universe, the ensemble shows the marimba in its most expressive and versatile form. This concert is not only an artistic highlight, but also a celebration of a programme that is making its mark on the international marimba world.
