Introduction to the music programme
Music courses (classical music)
During the Easter and summer holiday, we organise music courses for candidates and conservatoire students from all over the world. Our Conservatoire teachers train and coach up to 40 students intensively for a period of five days.
This course may or may not be your preparation for your entrance exams. Our main goal is to offer you the opportunity to get to know the campus and our teachers.
But it will of course also provide you with the chance to improve your music skill a lot in only a short period of time.
Introductory lesson
As a candidate for the Music programme, you can get to know the teachers and the Campus in light of your participation at the entrance exams. To request an introductory lesson, send an e-mail to the head of the department:
- Composition: Bram Van Camp
- Woodwinds: Karin De Fleyt
- Brass instruments: Nico Couck
- Percussion: Koen Wilmaers
- String instruments: Guido De Neve (violin) - Elisabeth Sturtewagen (cello, double bass and viola)
- Key instruments: Stéphanie Proot
- Plucked instruments: Nico Couck
- Vocals: Luc Anthonis
If you are interested in any of the instruments or specializations in the Jazz programme, feel free to contact Els Smedts.
Open House
Once a year, we open our doors for everyone who is interested in studying at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. Would you like to be invited? Or learn more about the other aspects of starting your higher education in Music with us? Then be sure to register for our Infomail. It allows us to send all the information regarding artistic entrance examinations, admissions procedures and more, directly to your mailbox.
Concerts and performances
We make it a point to offer a lot of on-stage opportunities to our students. Most take place on campus and are free to attend. Be sure to take a look at the calendar. That way you can immediately see what's on.
