Andrea di Serego Alighieri

Andrea works on projects where a focus on language, writing and translation—and of politics thereof—is of central concern. He studied Graphic Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Comparative Literature at the University of Amsterdam. Between 2014/2015 he was a researcher at the Jan van Eyck Academie. Recently, he has collaborated with various institutions, like Manifesta12 and the Kandinsky Library at the Centre Pompidou. He is co-editor of Glossator Journal (Open Humanities Press) and editor of “Resistance”, a publication on the work of American language poet Lyn Hejinian, published by uh Books (2019). In 2020, he translated to Italian L'orso allo specchio (Kunstverein Publishing) by American dancer and performance artist Simone Forti. He previously has been guest teaching, tutoring and held workshops at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam.
