Clara van den Broek studied Roman Languages, Cultural Studies, Philosophy (KULeuven) and Dramatic Arts (Royal Conservatoire Anwerp). She is head of drama training at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, theatre maker and actress at, among others, the theatre company SKaGeN, promoter of research and PhD projects and teacher at Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.She was co-chair of the research group Performance Practice in Perspective.
In the past, she was artistic coordinator of the graduate acting course (drama course Royal Conservatoire Antwerp), daily director of the theatre company SKaGeN, dance critic at the newspaper De Morgen, and editorial board member and publicist at the performing arts magazine Etcetera. She has published fiction with De Geus and Vrijdag Publishers.
