Educational Master in Music & Performing Arts, specialisation Dance

The study load of the educational Master in Music & Performing Arts specialisation Dance is 120 ECTS credits. Students follow 60 ECTS-credits of the part-time Master in Dance programme and simultaneously or consecutively develop their educational skills in the full-time teacher training programme of 60 ECTS-credits. The two strands have equal weight and build the skills of both the practicing and teaching artist side by side. In the final Master Project students can choose to combine, overlap, or separate these skills.

As a Teaching Artist in training, you will follow theoretical and practical course units and put your knowledge into practice within internships and projects. The internships are in collaboration with internship schools and organisations and are supervised by mentors from the schools as well as the programme.

In the study guide, the Trotter, you'll find practical and substantive information about specific courses and more.

You can start the master's programme after obtaining a bachelor's degree in Dance, following a bridging programme and passing the artistic entrance examination. For more information, consult the admission requirements.

Shortened trajectory

Do you already have a master's degree in Dance? Then you can follow a shortened educational master's programme Music & Performing Arts, specialisation Dance of 60 ECTS-credits where teaching skills that translate your artistic skills are developed.

The programme is a Dutch speaking programme that requires a B2 language certificate. More details can be found on the Dutch page of the website.
