Entrance examinations and audition dates for 2026
Would you like to start a higher education programme in Music, Dance or Drama in September 2027? Then you will need to pass an entrance examination. Registration for the entrance examinations is not yet possible, but you can already block some important dates in your calendar:

In memoriam Alexei Moshkov
The sad news reached us today that Alexei Moshkov, principal subject teacher of violin, has passed away. Our thoughts are especially with his family, friends, colleagues and students, for whom this loss must be particularly difficult.
Two new department heads for our Conservatoire
Starting 1 November, two programmes at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp will have new leaders. With the retirement of Annouk Van Moorsel, who has been head of both Dance and the Music & Performing Arts Education programmes for many years, a new chapter is beginning. Two familiar faces from the Conservatoire are taking up the baton: Natalie Gordon will become head of the Dance programme and Bob Selderslaghs will take charge of the Educational programmes.
BJO meets ARKestra
In June 2026, Brussels Jazz Orchestra will be taking the big band ARKestra under its wing for a week. This international group of young people consists of top musicians from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, supplemented by talent from Codarts in Rotterdam and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
Antwerp and Palestine collaborate on drama programme
Royal Conservatoire Antwerp is collaborating with the ASHTAR Theatre in Ramallah to establish Palestine's first official bachelor programme in Drama. The three-year project, supported by the European Commission through Erasmus+, aims to demonstrate how art and education can transcend borders.
Screening the job market for a principal study teacher in violin
The School of Arts Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp of the AP University College Antwerp has an open vacancy for the position of teaching assignment Violin Professor (classical music) to start in September 2026. The deadline to apply is set at 3 November 2025.
