FRAMED / live animation drawing

How can we allow artists to create live dynamic spontaneous visualizations that respond to both the environment and the audience?

The moving image is becoming increasingly prominent in the evolution of contemporary visual culture. The moving image is also increasingly present on social media. Nowadays countless simple applications exist for making short, mainly photographic films. Specialized software for “drawing” moving images or motion graphics is rather limited.

The project ‘FRAMED’ investigates how drawers can intuitively create real-time animations. Support software is developed for this and the correct set-up is designed. In various experiments and performances, drawers will work on the basic principles of animation and explore the visual expression possibilities of “drawing in motion”. Through co-creation and cross-pollination, the artists are challenged to achieve a dynamic whole that responds live to the environment and the public.
