Join us during Antwerp Art Weekend for the official opening of the art integration at the newly renovated Stadswaag!
This project— a collaboration between the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, District of Antwerp, and Stadsform— features tree grate designs for the square, created by students and alumni of the Academy:
- Cristina Esmoris Navarro & Arthur Van de Velde
- Justine Grillet & Céline Meulemans
- Matthias Hellemans & Maria Sawizki
- Bernadette Zdrazil & Elvira Mulkay
- Subinson & Elvis Federico
- Ugné Neveckaité & Mitya Proost
- Daan Van Nunen & Runar Mariosson
- Dries Willems & Niel De VriesCurated by Nico Dockx & Lucia Mrakovcic
The art integration is the result of a co-creation process. As part of this trajectory, Studio Stadswaag was established —a new space for student initiatives within the Academy that, through a large gateway, connects to the Stadswaag square, creating an additional opening in the Academy walls.
