Jan Peter Gerrits studied at the Antwerp Conservatoire under the direction of Dora van der Groen. From time to time he works as a dramaturge at Toneelgroep Amsterdam. Since 2000 he has been working as a drama teacher at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp at the Drama/acting programme.
