'Little Fables of Practice'
two-day writing-workshop by Sina Seifee

powered by research group Thinking Tools
Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 March
at the Academy

For whom? For 3BA and Master students of the Academy. Especially those who are developing artistic research practice, who are writing a master thesis or are interested in writing and storytelling.

What is the workshop about?
How can we participate in (re)shaping our objects of knowledge in terms of fables? In this two-day writing-workshop we take the notion of "keyword" seen as a site where both concepts and narratives are formulated as reorientional tools within one’s own research practices. We will experiment with different writing techniques to (re)animate our keywords as short fables. These fables make available to us the operational metaphors that shape the knowledge we produce in our artistic practices.

Who is Sina Seifee?
Sina Seifee is an artist-researcher, living between Cologne, Brussels and Tehran, doing a residency at research group Thinking Tools in the Morpho studios
His artistic practice is structured around a research-intensive and transversal exploration of performative storytelling and image-making. He looks at how epistemologies and knowledge get shaped.
